Escape the buffet chaos – reviewing Specialty Dining venues in Serenity Resorts. Great Food, Great Value!

Note: This is an independent opinion based on my personal experience.
I speak from what was on offer while staying at the Serenity Makadi Beach Hotel in Egypt. We were allowed 2 specialty dining reservations per week, free of charge. Reservations could be made at guest services in the lobby from 10 AM to 11 AM.
Sometimes there was a huge line up, but rather than waiting we came back after it quieted down. Guest services was competently taken care of by a young lady from the Ukraine who had just returned from holidays.
There were 5 specialty restaurants you could choose from – click the restaurant name to see the menu and what our experience was. In the Serenity Makadi Beach hotel were:
– Mexican – in Rossini, above the Monaliza buffet restaurant
–Royal – in Rossini also
and in the Serenity Fun City Hotel you could choose from:
– Al Dente, Italian
– Andalucia, Oriental (sorry, we did not eat here)
– Sayonara, Asian
All a la carte restaurants offer four course meals with 2 options from each of the following:
– appetizer/salad
– soup
– entree
– dessert
You pre-order your meal with the reservation, choosing one dish from each course. There are a choice of 3 seatings available 6:30 pm, 7:30 pm & 8:30 pm.
I would like to give special mention to the assistant restaurant manager in the Serenity Makadi Beach Hotel. Ahmed Ibrahim did a wonderful job making sure that everything in the Rossini dining room functioned smoothly. It often meant he had to pitch in serving, cleaning, and other various tasks. He did all of this smoothly, without ever looking frustrated or upset, rather always with a big smile. Thank you Ahmed!
Side note: The waiter uniform is horrendous – it is the same as all servers wear in the resort, a green shirt reminiscent of an emergency room, without George Clooney – but that aside, for the most part, service was amazing.
